No Criminal Record Report for use in China

It is required to provide a no criminal history report for employment in China. This document is also called no criminal background check, police record or good conduct certificate, etc.

You will need to contact with your local, state or Federal justice department to obtain the report. This report needs to be further Apostilled by the respective state or Federal authority before it can be used in China. VisaRite can help you to obtain the Apostille certificate.

In order for us to help you, you will need to complete Step 1 through Step 5 first.

STEP 1 - Obtain No Criminal Record Report (Done by applicant)

There are three options for the report: local level, state level or Federal level. For most people, local or state level should be sufficient. Please do check with your employer for requirement.

If local or state background check is sufficient, please go to your local police department where you reside or last resided in the United States or contact the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division of your state, request to conduct a state criminal records search and provide you with a document reflecting that there is no history of a criminal record.

The No Criminal Record Report should be signed by the relevant official and notarized properly. If the report is signed by the state appointed official and state secretary office can certify that official's signature directly, the notary step may be skipped.

If nation wide background check is required, please contact with FBI for report.

STEP 2 - Notarized by Local Notary Public (Done by applicant)
  • Signature of the official who issued the state and local background check should be notarized by a Notary Public. The document should be signed in presence of the notary. The notary should add an acknowledge statement such as "Signed and sworn (or affirm) to before me this__________day of_______________, 20___." and complete with notary seal and signature.
  • Document notarized in AL, GA, HI, KY, MD, NY and TN must be certified by the county before state authentication. County certification can be obtained from a circuit clerk, circuit court, county clerk, probate judge or superior court clerk.
  • However, FBI background check doesn't need to be notarized.
STEP 3 - Obtain Apostille Certificate (Done by VisaRite)

  • Regular Processing (3-8 weeks) : US$150.00/per document
  • Express Processing (2-3 weeks) : US$250.00/per document * (not available for all documents. Additional government expediting fee may apply.)

  • Processing time is approximate and for reference only. The government processing time is subject to change without notice.

Forms of Payment:

  • Personal check is not acceptable. You may pay by money order or credit card. Credit card payment is subject to 3.6% surcharge. If you would like to avoid the credit card surcharge, you may choose to pay by Zelle to: service@visarite.net
  • If your return address is in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada, please include an extra extended delivery area fee of $20.00 per order. If you need to ship back to other international address, additional fee and time is needed, please email us for details.
STEP 4 - Complete Service Request Form

  • Please specify your service level and return address by submitting the service request form online.
  • Please provide email address and phone so that confirmation and status update can be sent to you during the process.
  • Please include one copy of service request confirmation with the documents you ship to us and keep one copy for your record.
STEP 5 - Send the Document(s) to VisaRite Service
Put all following items together in one package
  • The original document(s)
  • Service Request Form confirmation page
  • Cashier's check or money order payable to VisaRite Service to cover the total cost or online payment confirmation.
